The NOW Festival is a celebration; providing excitement, entertainment and education for all ages, whilst acknowledging the essential ingredients that make the Nagambie community such a unique place to live, work and play.
Since it’s just not possible for all the great businesses involved in the festival to fit in to our lake side location, we’ve come up with a way for you to see all that is great about Nagambie. “@ The Gate” is the way to see what our region has to offer by getting ‘off the beaten track’ and heading out to local producers in the region & cellar doors to experience what our little patch of paradise has to offer. So if you want to indulge in culinary delights, check out the fantastic range of reds & whites on offer, develop a dialogue of poetry, learn about our history, find a quaint spot to admire the local wildlife or just admire the spectacular scenery, our “@ The Gate” will give you access to all this and much more.
This ticketed event filled with local food and fine musical talent is a way to bring together some of the amzing small producers and products that are grown locally. The Royal Mail Hotel, aka The Top Pub is the place to be on Saturday evening. If you are interested in food in the region then come along to enjoy a taste sensation, tickets are $30 and will shortly be available on line. Half of the ticket proceeds will be donated to Nagambie Healthcare towards the “new hospital wing” fundraising efforts.
Tickets available on line (includes a booking fee) or locally from Nagambie Healthcare or Nagambie Visitor Information Centre
Community Pizza night kicks off the festival in a laid back manner, come along and enjoy a a freshly made pizza from the Community Hubs woodfired pizza oven. Pizza sauce (passata) will be freshly made by students from St. Josephs Primary School, and all toppings sourced locally. There are tunes to relax to, or if you want to get active with the kids then bring along your racket for some night time tennis.
The NOW Festival is proud to connect a number of our local businesses and produres with our local primary school. During term one of 2017 students from Nagambie Primary School will participate in an after school program where local producers are invited to come and cook with our budding foodies of the future. Teaching students about the value of locally sourced foods and the importance of fresh healthy eating.
